Dear Parents,

It is difficult to believe but here we are ready to begin the month of November. The year continues to be busy with plenty of interesting twists and turns, but most importantly, as I visit schools I find our teachers focused and committed to their work and our students engaged and serious about their learning. As I visit I am reminded of the fact that we truly do have exceptional schools.

My primary message for this November letter is to invite all of you to attend one of the upcoming forums which will take place at each of our comprehensive high schools. The fundamental questions to be discussed will focus on what it means to be a “world class school district," and does a district that is as successful as ours have a need or a desire to explore what might be “the next level?"
